Established in 1972 as one of New Zealand's first potteries, Driving Creek has become a hub for artists worldwide. Hop on the railway tour through regenerating native forest up to the EyeFull Tower for phenomenal views of the Coromandel coastline. Afterwards, take part in a pottery workshop, or glide through the kauri canopies on a zipline tour.

An 8-9 km return, the Success Track is an out-and-back trail starting from behind the Old Coromandel Hospital Building. It takes you up into the bush, eventually reaching 586 metres above sea level at the top of the ridge. Bring lunch and take in the sweeping views of the Coromandel Harbour at the top of the track.

Walk along the coastline from Long Bay to Tucks Bay, the ideal spot for a quiet picnic on the beach. Afterwards, continue on to the Long Bay Kauri Walk, where you're sure to be awestruck by the 1200-year-old kauri tree.

Take a dip in the area's best swimming hole, and follow it up with a quick loop (20-30 minute return) through the mature kauri grove.

A steep, challenging track which is not easy to find, those who manage to make it to the top of Motutere aka Castle Rock are rewarded with stunning panoramic views of the Coromandel Range and the surrounding coastline.

One of New Zealand's most iconic and yet still untouched beaches, New Chums lives up to the hype. You will be pleasantly surprised by how secluded it can feel in spite of itsrenowned beauty. Depending on the day, you could easily have the entire beach toyourself.

Soak in the beach town vibes with a strong cup of coffee at Kua Kawhe followed by a woodfired pizza at Luke's Kitchen. The fish wrap at Luke’s is also superb, perfect right after a surf or swim.

Dig your own natural spa pool oceanside, dreams really do come true! just make sure to go2 hours either side of low tide. If you missed that window, many days you can still sitbeachside and watch some lovely surf. Visit this favourite spot and take in some othernearby attractions, like Cathedral Cove, all at once. Bonus: we have shovels for borrowing inthe main entrance for this adventure!

This unique, naturally formed archway — which can only be accessed by foot, kayak, or boat— is well worth the trek. Regardless of how you get there, we recommend giving yourselfplenty of time to take in Cathedral Cove. You won't want to leave.

This 10 km track between Fletcher and Stony Bay Campsites offers a mix of lush native bushand breath-taking ocean views at the northernmost tip of the Coromandel Peninsula. Ifyou're not up for the entirety of the 7-hour return trip, you can book in to be dropped off onone side and picked up on the other.

This popular trail climbs up steadily to the Pinnacles summit, where the views of theCoromandel Forest Park and Kauaeranga Valley are just spectacular. Suitable for a day tripor an overnight stay at the Pinnacles Hut, it's definitely worth checking out while you'rehere.
